During “Millennium Cultures,” students learn to recognize how the various aspects of culture are impacted by changes in technology, commerce, communication and people.

Disney Youth Education Series takes students into Disney Parks to showcase textbook principles with real life applications. These up-close, behind-the-scenes Disney Youth Education Series field studies allow students to see how principles they’re learning in the classroom are making exciting things happen every day in the Disney Parks.

“Disney Youth Education Series Programs engage, inspire, educate and illuminate classroom learning in a magical setting,” said Tim Hill, director of special programs for Disney Destinations. “Our team of professional instructors is focused on keeping the students involved so they return home inspired to learn even more.”

At the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, students can learn about physics while riding Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom® Park with the lights on and off, meet citizens of the world at Epcot® and get hands-on experience preparing a meal for an elephant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

Educators can choose from more than a dozen programs taught by professionals at various Walt Disney World Resort locations. Here students are transported into a world of education, Disney-style. Taught by specially trained Disney facilitators, Disney Youth Education Series programs are offered in four disciplines — Leadership and Careers, Arts and Humanities, Physical Sciences and Natural Sciences. The hands-on courses increase desire to learn, encourage students to reach their potential and demonstrate the importance of teamwork, all in a unique setting.

After the program, students are encouraged to continue the fun at the Theme Parks, where they are free to explore attractions and continue learning as they see how the knowledge they’ve gained is applied throughout the Disney Parks. Through this memorable experience, students walk away ready to embrace a world of limitless possibilities.

The Disney Difference

Disney Youth Education Series programs are offered throughout Disney Parks at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland® Resort in California. Many Disney Youth Education Series programs are accredited by Northwest Accreditation Commission, and students receive supplemental materials to enhance their learning experience once back home.

“Our Disney Youth Education Series instructors never forget that fun in a vital part of learning,” Hill stated. “This is why our programs are not only high-quality and educationally sound, but they are also taught in a way that engages students, keeps things interesting and motivates participants not only to learn, but also to remember what they learned.”
